Body Elixir

An utterly luxurious combination of plant oils to bring sensual delight to moisturising the body from head to toe.

he Body Elixir is made from oils chosen to flow easily onto the skin and feel positively sensuous. There is something so deeply alluring about an oil on the body; the glide and sensation are both comforting and deeply pleasurable if the blend is right and the quality excellent.

For the Elixir we started with Jojoba oil, which is in fact a gorgeous wax, golden in colour and the skin drinks it in, recognising it as close to our own sebum. Then we added Grapeseed and Peach Kernel oils which are light but pleasingly moisturising. To really work on the skin we made a trio of incredibly healing oils from our own plants - Calendula, Hypericum and Rosehip. We also included Borage and Pumpkin oils for their anti-inflammatory and long lasting deep moisturising qualities.

We chose the essential oils as if building a perfume, with therapeutic top, heart and base notes of: Rose for its cooling, beguiling scent, Bergamot for its complex fresh citrus note, Labdanum because it brings an earthy richness, Clary sage to bring clarity to the mind and Benzoin for a balanced sweetness.

The bottle is 200mls which, given the small amount needed, is a very generous size, so you can use it daily, after a shower on moist skin or you can use it as a massage oil to condition the skin and bring luscious relaxation to the body and spirit.

How to use

pump a little oil into the palm and whilst skin is still slightly damp and warm, massage the oil into the skin in long fluid strokes. A little goes a long way so several short pumps should be enough to richly moisturise the body.
